Earlier this year during the fiscal session, the Arkansas General Assembly did something unprecedented in Arkansas. They appropriated $1 million from the Governor’s Rainy-Day Fund for Pregnancy Help Organizations (PHOs) and created the Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) Grant Program. The funds will be dispersed through the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) through a grant application process. The Application was released on August 1, 2022 and the deadline to apply is August 26, 2022.
You will need to complete the PRC Grant Program Survey and be added to DFA direct contact list by sending an email to email@example.com with your organizations:
"Due to the limited amount of funding available, application requests should be limited to only those costs needed to support a successful program. To better accomplish statewide distribution of funding, DFA recommends applicants to submit applications requesting no more than $40,000 in funding support." (DFA) Funding for the PRC Grant Program is only available for the project period of October 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.
Once awarded, these funds will not be disbursed all at once, but incrementally, according to the plan, and directly to the PRC. Also, any funds not expended after June 30, 2023 will transfer to General Revenue. We want to help you receive every penny of those funds, so we will work closely with whoever chooses to apply.
DFA is also providing Request For Application (RFA) Technical Assistance Workshop, Wednesday August 17 at 1:00 PM. This meeting will be held via zoom. We strongly recommend that you attend this meeting if you plan to apply.
