ARFuture Foundation received a $100,000 private grant with the specific purpose of providing services to rural and high-poverty areas of Arkansas. This grant will be disbursed through sub-grants in $5,000 increments to twenty Pregnancy Help Organizations assisting underserved rural and high-poverty areas in southern and eastern Arkansas. The grant application process will be open from August 1st, 2023- September 1st, 2023.

All recipients will be contacted, and funds will be awarded by September 15th, 2023. A report of how funds were used, and services provided is required to be sent by February 15th, 2024.

Earlier this year during the legislative session, the Arkansas General Assembly appropriated another $1 million for Pregnancy Help Organizations (PHOs) in Arkansas to be allocated through the Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) Grant Program. The funds will be dispersed through the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) through a grant application process.

Applications for Pregnancy Help Organizations anticipated opening around mid October 2023
The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) will be seeking applications for funding from organizations eligible to apply under the Pregnancy Help Organizations (PHOs) Grant Program. This grant program was established for the purpose of encouraging females facing unwanted pregnancy to give birth to their unborn child. DFA is the designated state entity to administer the PHO Grant Program in accordance with Act 622 of 2023. Pregnancy Resource Center Grant | Department of Finance and Administration (Arkansas.gov).
Once preliminary procedures are completed in accordance with state law, DFA will open the Request for Applications.
The anticipated opening date is mid October. Announcements will be posted on our website at the link above.
